A person’s last will can be prone to fraud, theft, and forgery, making the security and integrity of a person’s last will important consideration in the way they are stored and secured. In addition to the importance of protecting a will from compromise, wills can also be time consuming for lawyers to draft and manage. InheritChain, a legal tech company focused on legal process automation based in Mississauga, partnered with the SMART Centre to develop a blockchain backed will management solution. Utilizing blockchain and the expertise of the SMART Centre, InheritChain was able to develop and launch a beta version of their digitized and secure vault for managing and storing wills securely.
