Gathering Hearts & Minds to Restore the Land

Using a community-based participatory action research approach, this project answered the following key questions: How can Indigenous peoples and knowledges mobilize to engage communities in the recovery of land-based practices to restore the land? How can land-based practices contribute to truth and reconciliation, health and well-being, and holistic research in Canada? And, how can land-based practices inform research processes for Indigenous peoples in Canada? Through a collective visioning consultation, the research team developed a series of holistic outreach celebrations, framed by Indigenous land-based practices, that can contribute to reconciliation, health and well-being, and holistic research in.
