Carol Zweep, M.Sc., CPP
Packaging researcher
Carol Zweep is the research lead, packaging, for the Conestoga Food Research and Innovation Lab (CFRIL) at Conestoga College. Carol has over 30 years of experience in the food and packaging industries related to packaging quality, testing and R&D.
She holds a bachelor of science in biochemistry from Queen's University and a M.Sc. in chemistry from McMaster University. Carol has a Certified professional packaging (lifetime) designation from the Institute of Packaging Professionals.
At NSF, a consulting company, Carol provided technical expertise on packaging evaluation and shelf-life study projects.
While working at the corporate Packaging Testing Laboratory at Amcor, Carol designed the laboratory and managed activities that supported all business units. Carol supervised the R&D lab that evaluated new technologies and innovative food packaging alternatives. Carol also supervised the QA department where she provided technical assistance, customer support, and implemented a SPC focused quality system.
