Jeff Dukes, P.Eng.
Director, SMART Centre
Jeff Dukes P. Eng. is the director of Conestoga’s SMART Centre, located in Cambridge.
He received his bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering specializing in product design from Lake Superior State University in Sault Ste Marie, Michigan in 2003, and holds his P.Eng. license from Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO).
Jeff has accumulated over 20 years of diverse experience in automotive, consumer products, and defense industries.
During his time as senior product engineer at DURA Automotive he was responsible for the design and production of park brake cables, automatic and manual transmission shifters, and transfer case shifters.
As engineering manager at Dimplex North America he was integral in the redesign and launch of the Dimplex baseboard heater product and production line, including the controls for the Dimplex Connex heating system. As the senior director of engineering at Colt Canada, Canada’s Centre of Excellence for Small Arms, he and his team were responsible for the development and fleet lifecycle support of small arms for the Canadian Military an many NATO ally countries.
Jeff has been integral in the successful development, launch and production of products for both the North American and international markets and has obtained several patents for his work at Dimplex North America and Colt Canada.
