Lenore Johnson
Venture coach
Lenore is responsible for guiding entrepreneurs through their road map ensuring that they have created the formative building blocks they need to have long-term and transferable success as an entrepreneur. Lenore is also an incredible sounding board, cheerleader, sympathetic ear and overzealous supporter as a venture coach.
Lenore brings extensive experience in the culinary world, having spent five years as a pastry chef at a Michelin-starred restaurant and luxury five-star hotels in London, England, as well as at a winery in New Zealand. She launched her first business, LenJo Bakes, as a pop-up eCommerce venture on Waiheke Island, New Zealand, in 2017. This venture evolved into a brick-and-mortar store in Midtown Kitchener, which opened its doors in February 2020. Expanding further, she introduced a café concept in St. Jacobs Village in May 2023. Since 2022, Lenore has also been a venture coach with the LiftOff accelerator.
Lenore holds a BA in economics and international studies from the University of Waterloo, a diploma in baking and pastry arts management from George Brown College, and a certificate in advanced french pastry from École Nationale Supérieure de Pâtisserie.
