Samantha coordinates operational activities within the SMART Centre by improving operational management systems, processes/procedures, and creates best practices to enhance the centre's efficiency and effectiveness.
Samantha is a collaborative and solutions-focused professional who identifies and creates opportunities through her ability to develop partnerships and relationships with others. She brings 14 years of experience working in the higher education industry in the areas of project and event management, procedure development, relationship management, design and communications. Before joining the SMART Centre, Samantha worked with Conestoga's School of Health & Life Sciences, Advancement & Alumni Engagement, International Education, and the School of Creative Industries.
She's recruited, trained, and managed over 330 international student volunteers from 26 countries, redesigned prominent online portals and digital newsletters, executed hundreds of events (in-person and hybrid), developed processes and procedures relating to student retention, and revenue generation, and helped take fundraising campaigns to new heights through communication and re-branding. She is an advocate for mental health and student/employee well-being
